[Financial News] The YouTuber and author of the essay 'What Can I Do, I Live Well Alone' (Bookrum), Shin Aromi, has signed a rights deal with a leading British publisher.

According to the publishing industry on the 14th, the agency of Shin Aromi, Barbara J. Zitwer Agency in the United States, recently signed a book rights deal with Transworld, a subsidiary of Penguin Publishing in the UK, in a 'Pre-empt' manner for 'What Can I Do, I Live Well Alone'.

'Pre-empt' is a method of securing a contract by offering a high advance payment early on to avoid competition with other publishers. The advance payment is reported to exceed 100 million won. The agency also explained that they have exclusive contracts with publishers not only in the UK but also in Brazil and Spain.

'What Can I Do, I Live Well Alone' is an essay presented last year by travel and economy YouTuber Shin Aromi, humorously showing why she decided to 'live alone' and how she is living. It also contains a sincere story about Shin Aromi, who declared herself openly single and lives traveling between the countryside of Korea and abroad.

Meanwhile, Shin Aromi expressed her feelings through YouTube, saying, "My first book, 'What Can I Do, I Live Well Alone', has received a 100 million won advance payment and was contracted as an exclusive deal," and "I cried a lot when I first received this offer."

Additionally, Shin mentioned, "I heard that Hollywood is very interested in turning my book into a film," hinting at the possibility of adaptation.
