[Financial News] Amid the ongoing aftermath of the mass food poisoning incident at a gimbap restaurant in Seocho-gu, Seoul, it has been reported that a patient suffered from enteritis and even had elevated pancreatic levels.
YTN reported on the 14th that Mr. A, who attends a church in Seocho-gu, Seoul, fell ill after eating gimbap ordered in bulk at the church on the 6th, suffered from a high fever close to 40 degrees, was hospitalized in a higher-level hospital, and is receiving treatment as his pancreatic levels increased following liver levels.
Mr. A told YTN, "(The doctor said) pancreatic levels can rise due to food poisoning or such," and "the pancreatic level rose to 527, and I heard that if it can't be lowered here, I might have to go to a university hospital. It was scary," he said.
It has been identified that a total of six places, including the church Mr. A attends, placed bulk orders from the gimbap restaurant and showed symptoms of mass food poisoning. Including individual customers, it has been confirmed that about 130 people showed symptoms such as fever, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
It is presumed that the gimbap made between the 4th and 6th is the cause of the food poisoning, while the owner of the gimbap restaurant is reportedly claiming that there was no problem in the cooking process.
