[Financial News]  Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, who attended the 'Kim Dae-jung Award' ceremony, stated on the 14th, "I will complete a nation where the people are the owners."
Prime Minister Kim said in a congratulatory speech at the first 'Kim Dae-jung Award' ceremony held at COEX in Seoul on this day, "President Kim Dae-jung overcame the foreign exchange crisis and solidified democracy through integrative politics that encompassed both conservatives and progressives," he said.
Prime Minister Kim emphasized, "Both history and politics are a relay race," and "President Lee Jae-myung will also save the country beyond ideology with practicality and complete a nation where the people are the owners." He mentioned his connection with the late President Kim Dae-jung, who appointed him in his 20s, and recalled, "The advice of the giant who moved towards hope and forgiveness was a great strength."
The 'Kim Dae-jung Award' is a newly established award by the International Political Science Association (IPSA) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late President Kim Dae-jung, and the award ceremony was held for the first time in Seoul this year.
In this award ceremony, T.V. Paul, a scholar in the field of international political science, was selected as the first recipient.
Prime Minister Kim quoted former President Kim's words, 'The people do not always win. However, the final victor is the people,' and said, "As President Kim, who believed in history and the people, said, the great Korean people who achieved both industrialization and democratization from a colony created an advanced nation," and "President Kim Dae-jung's belief that 'democracy is an absolute value that realizes human dignity and is the only way to achieve economic development and social justice' is expected to be a precious compass in protecting and nurturing democracy."
