[Financial News] President Lee Jae-myung shared a warm story about his pet dog 'Bobby' for the first time on the 14th.
President Lee mentioned during a special lecture for new level 5 administrators that 'the response was good when I briefly talked about my pet dog,' and soon after, he posted a long message along with a photo of his pet dog on social media. The post included a candid anecdote that "Bobby kept going to my wife, which made me feel a bit jealous," along with the realization that "it's natural for Bobby to be more attached to my wife, who takes care of him every day."
President Lee wrote, "Dogs know very well who cares for and loves them," adding, "If animals can feel sincerity, how much more sensitive must humans be? I realized once again that sincerity ultimately gets through."
In particular, President Lee said, "In the era of 15 million pet owners, more than one in four people live with pets," and "Bobby's mere presence brings small happiness and comfort. I empathize more deeply with the lives of the people." He added a policy message, "I will create an advanced animal welfare nation where humans and animals live together."
As of the afternoon of the 14th, President Lee's post has garnered thousands of 'likes' and hundreds of comments, gaining traction. Interest in pet welfare within political circles is expected to grow further.
