[Financial News] An incident occurred where someone damaged the summit marker stone at Godangbong, Geumjeongsan, Busan, which is being promoted as a national park, by attaching paper with glue.
According to Geumjeong-gu, Busan, on the 14th, a report was received that the marker stone erected at the summit of Godangbong, Geumjeongsan, at an altitude of 801.5m, was damaged on the morning of the 11th.
The marker stone has the words "Godangbong, Geumjeongsan" engraved on it, but someone attached a yellow paper with the word "Geumjeong" written over the "Godang" part using adhesive.
By the time district office staff arrived at the site around 2 p.m. that day, the paper with the writing had already been removed.
However, it was reported that some of the color of the letters had peeled off due to the adhesive.
Residual adhesive and other materials remain on the marker stone, and the district plans to conduct removal work through a professional company.
A Geumjeong-gu official stated, "There is no CCTV at the site, making it difficult to identify the culprit," and added, "We are considering requesting a police investigation."
