Gangwon Province to Provide Consumption Coupons of at Least 180,000 Won Per Person to All Residents Starting from the 21st

【Financial News Chuncheon=Kim Ki-seop Reporter】Gangwon Autonomous Province announced on the 14th that according to the government's first plan for distributing livelihood recovery consumption coupons, it will provide consumption coupons to all residents starting from the 21st.
The target for the livelihood recovery consumption coupons is residents registered in Gangwon Autonomous Province as of June 18, with a differential payment ranging from a minimum of 180,000 Won to a maximum of 450,000 Won per person, with additional benefits available depending on regional characteristics.
General residents will receive 150,000 Won, the next lower class and single-parent families will receive 300,000 Won, and basic livelihood security recipients will receive 400,000 Won.
Additionally, residents living in 12 population-declining areas within the province, such as Taebaek, Samcheok, Jeongseon, Pyeongchang, and Goseong, will receive an additional 50,000 Won, while residents of other non-metropolitan areas will receive an additional 30,000 Won.
The application period is from the 21st to September 12th for 8 weeks, and residents aged 18 and over can apply in their own name online or offline.
Online applications can be made through card company websites and apps, call centers, ARS, and local love gift certificate apps, while offline applications can be made by visiting town, township, and neighborhood community centers or bank branches linked with cards.
The payment method can be selected from credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, and local love gift certificates, and can be used from the day after application.
Additionally, a 'visiting application' service will be operated for the elderly and others with mobility difficulties.
From today, residents can apply on the national service website to check eligibility and amount, and will receive notification services starting from the 19th.
The consumption coupons received can only be used at small business stores with annual sales of 3 billion Won or less and local love gift certificate affiliated stores within the province, and use is restricted in some industries such as large marts, department stores, online shopping malls, and entertainment establishments.
Also, they can only be used within the jurisdiction of the address and the usage period is until November 30th.
Meanwhile, Gangwon Province plans to promote early execution to ensure that the consumption coupons are fully used within the deadline, and to inject vitality into the local economy by conducting various consumption promotion events concurrently.
