【Financial News Gwangyang=Hwang Taejong Reporter】Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA) announced on the 14th that the number of visitors to the online recruitment center 'YG Jobbada', operated in collaboration with the Gwangyang Chamber of Commerce, exceeded 20,000 as of the first half of this year.
According to the Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority, 'YG Jobbada' means 'a sea of jobs overflowing like the sea at Yeosu Gwangyang Port', and it has been in regular operation since this year after a pilot operation last year to connect port-related companies and job seekers.
To expand the number of visitors to the recruitment center, the authority shared recruitment center information on various job-related communities and SNS, and promoted various activities such as sending app notifications to online recruitment center users. As a result, 8,000 additional visitors accessed 'YG Jobbada' in June alone, achieving 20,000 visitors in the first half of the year.
Additionally, the job postings of 154 companies using the recruitment center have exceeded 1,000 cumulative postings, and more than 10,000 job applications have been received for these postings.
In the second half of the year, the authority plans to gather data on job seeker usage and opinions from participating companies to recruit additional companies and strengthen promotional activities.
Hwang Hakbeom, acting president of the authority, said, "Thank you to the many job seekers who participated in the online recruitment center started to revitalize jobs at companies located in Yeosu-Gwangyang Port," and added, "We will work to ensure that it serves as a meaningful job platform in cooperation with the co-operator, the Gwangyang Chamber of Commerce."
