[Financial News] President Lee Jae-myung said on the 14th that the most memorable thing since taking office was "the stock price rising significantly."
President Lee said at a special lecture for new 5th-grade managers held at the Jincheon main campus of the National Civil Service Human Resources Development Institute, "Personally, it is rewarding to see many parts stabilizing in a short time. The state affairs stabilized faster than I thought. However, these days, expectations are high and what I can do is limited, so I am also worried," he said.
Regarding balanced regional development, President Lee said, "I think additional incentives for local areas are needed in the government's national operation," and "For example, since it is now a renewable energy-centered industry, various incentives are needed to allow companies and people to settle in areas rich in renewable energy," he explained.
In addition, President Lee said, "Sending the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to Busan is a symbolic measure," and "It is difficult to see Busan developing tremendously on its own, but it is of interest in itself," he conveyed.
Regarding the avoidance of civil service, President Lee said, "I think it is important to also judge the attractiveness of the public office itself," and "You should find your own meaning in the public office itself, and if you think 'it's not much compared to general companies,' it will be difficult to feel the charm of public office," he advised.
