[Financial News] Dongmyung University announced on the 14th that it ranked 168th in the world at the '5th WURI Conference' held in the Philippines on the 11th.
It rose by a whopping 500 places from 699th in 2024.
The WURI ranking, which started in a forum created by European universities in the former Hanseatic League region in 2018, marks its 6th year this year. It evaluates global university innovation by revealing rankings up to 100th in the world based on innovation achievements in 16 areas, including △student support △student mobility and openness △industrial application △efficient university management △leadership, instead of traditional indicators such as papers and citations. The comprehensive field is disclosed up to 400th place.
This year, 4,866 innovation achievement reports were submitted from 1,253 universities worldwide. University presidents participating directly submitted evaluation scores, and the WURI Evaluation Committee determined the final ranking.
Dongmyung University achieved remarkable results in three areas, including 168th in the overall ranking this year, 4th in student support, 8th in leadership, and 12th in efficient university management. Considering that last year's overall ranking was 699th and 34th in leadership, it is evaluated as an innovative leap in just one year.
In Korea, 15 universities, including Incheon National University (9th), Seoul National University (19th), and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (22nd), were selected within the top 200.
