KORAIL Establishes Safety Cooperation System with 9 Metropolitan Railway Operating Agencies

[Financial News] KORAIL announced on the 14th that it has signed an agreement with 9 agencies to establish an 'Emergency Response System for Transfer Stations between Metropolitan and Urban Railway Operating Agencies' to enhance the safety of metropolitan railway users.
 The 9 metropolitan railway operating agencies are △Seoul Metro △Incheon Transit Corporation △Namyangju Urban Corporation △Guri Urban Corporation △Airport Railroad △NEO Trans Co., Ltd. △Rotem SRS Co., Ltd. △Ui Sinseol Urban Railway Co., Ltd. △Gimpo Gold Line SRS Co., Ltd.
 This agreement was promoted to quickly respond to unusual situations such as fires occurring at stations and transfer stations operated by different entities to ensure customer safety.
 The main contents of the agreement include △Establishment of an emergency contact system △Sharing of situations and customer guidance cooperation in case of unusual occurrences △Obligation of a safety council centered on transfer stations △Regularization of joint emergency response training (once every six months) △Holding of countermeasure meetings during large-scale events.
