Korea Exchange Supports Securities and Derivatives Academic Research... Up to 10 Million Won

[Financial News] Korea Exchange announced on the 14th that it will conduct the '2025 KRX Securities and Derivatives Academic Research Support Project' to support basic research on securities and derivatives. 
This project targets members of academic societies related to securities and derivatives, financial industry professionals, researchers, master's and doctoral students, and graduate students. 
Applicants can choose between designated tasks or free tasks presented in advance by the exchange. Designated tasks include △Value-up program impact and improvement tasks △Impact of listing Korean derivatives on overseas exchanges on KOSPI 200 △Token securities market development plan △Research on account separation and transfer system in the securities and derivatives market.
The exchange will select up to 11 support targets related to the development of the securities and derivatives market, and if the requirements such as publication in major academic journals are met, research funding of up to 10 million won per paper will be provided. 
In addition, prizes and plaques worth a total of 23 million won will be awarded for the submitted papers, including the Grand Prize (1 paper) 7 million won, Excellence Prize (2 papers) 5 million won, and Encouragement Prize (2 papers) 3 million won.
Since 2015, the exchange has selected a total of 109 research papers to support practical research projects related to the development of the securities and derivatives market. Among them, outstanding papers have been awarded separately with an Outstanding Paper Award.
The exchange stated, "Through this project, we have discovered new researchers and achieved results in promoting research in various fields related to the capital market."
The application deadline is until September 19, and detailed information can be found on the Korea Exchange Securities and Derivatives Research Center website.
