[Financial News] S-OIL Total Energy Lubricants announced on the 14th that its engine oil brand 'S-OIL Seven (S-OIL 7)' ranked first in the engine oil category of the '2025 Premium Brand Index (KS-PBI)'.
KS-PBI is a brand value evaluation index jointly developed by the Korea Standards Association and the Seoul National University Business Research Institute, selecting premium brands by industry through annual consumer surveys. S-OIL Seven ranked first in the newly established engine oil category this year.
S-OIL Seven is a product with excellent lubrication performance and engine protection based on high-quality base oil produced by S-OIL. It is categorized by use, including △Gasoline/Diesel dual-use 'Gold' △Gasoline/Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) exclusive 'Red' △Diesel commercial vehicle exclusive 'Blue' and 'Black', and further subdivided into grades '#9·#7·#5' according to performance standards, broadening consumer choices.
In particular, the eco-friendly car exclusive 'S-OIL 7 EV Hybrid' is also attracting attention. Developed as 100% synthetic oil, this product provides optimized functions for hybrid engines, such as preventing Low-Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI) and reducing timing chain wear, receiving favorable reviews for both fuel efficiency and durability. New products that meet the latest international standards (API SQ, ILSAC GF-7) are also being proactively launched to strengthen technological competitiveness.
Strategies to enhance brand reliability are also proving effective. Since last year, S-OIL Seven has been supplying engine oil to teams participating in Korea's major racing competitions, verifying its performance under extreme conditions, and expanding consumer touchpoints through its official online store to increase awareness.
Patrice De Vemy, CEO of S-OIL Total Energy Lubricants, said, "This award is the result of continuous efforts for product quality, technological innovation, and customer trust," adding, "We will continue to grow as a brand that exceeds consumer expectations."
Meanwhile, S-OIL Total Energy Lubricants is a lubricant specialist company jointly established by S-OIL and global energy company TotalEnergies. It produces and sells high-quality lubricant products through the S-OIL Seven and 'Quartz' brands.
