[Financial News] BNK Busan Bank announced on the 14th that on the 12th, at the Watchi Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Yeongdo-gu, the Throbbing Talent Donation Volunteer Group Digital IT Team participated in the 'Senior Smartphone Education Volunteer Activity' for about 10 seniors.
This education was prepared to guide seniors who are not familiar with smartphone usage on how to use digital devices, choose appropriate plans, and prevent voice phishing, thereby enhancing information accessibility for the digitally marginalized and contributing to the prevention of financial fraud.
The volunteer members conducted the session using customized textbooks they created, focusing on one-on-one practice.
Since the establishment of the Talent Donation Volunteer Group in 2015, Busan Bank has consistently carried out various social contribution activities based on the expertise of its employees. This year, the volunteer group has been reorganized into five specialized teams: Digital IT, Financial Education, Global, Culture and Arts, and Plogging Health, with about 130 employees participating.
The Talent Donation Volunteer Group plans to conduct volunteer activities on the 26th, including Financial Education, Global & Culture and Arts, and Plogging Health teams.
Kim Yong-kyu, Head of the Management Strategy Group at Busan Bank, said, "This education was an effort to improve the quality of life for seniors and bridge the digital divide, beyond simply providing smartphone usage guidance," and added, "We will continue to carry out talent donation activities that provide practical help to the local community by utilizing the professional capabilities of our employees."
