【Financial News Muan=Hwang Taejong Reporter】Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education is expanding the recruitment of local talents and will select talents from commercial high schools as trainee employees starting next year.
Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced this through the 'Selection Plan for Outstanding Talents Graduating (or Expected to Graduate) from Commercial High Schools' on the 14th. They plan to select trainee employees through a selection process (written test-document review-interview) targeting those recommended by the school principal among the graduates (or expected graduates) from commercial high schools in Jeonnam.
Previously, Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education had selected outstanding graduates (or expected graduates) from specialized and meister high schools in Jeonnam as local government officials, but the positions were limited to technical high school graduates (or expected graduates) in fields like facilities, industry, and cooking.
However, through this plan, they expanded the opportunity for public office entry to graduates (or expected graduates) from commercial high schools by selecting outstanding talents as trainee employees in the educational administration field.
The selected trainee employees will undergo a six-month probationary period, after which their performance will be evaluated and appointment reviewed, determining their appointment as 9th-grade public officials.
Details about the outstanding talent selection plan can be found on the Provincial Office of Education's website (Personnel/Recruitment/News - Public Official Exam - Local Government Official). Detailed information on the exam schedule, implementation methods, etc., will be announced in March next year when the 2026 Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Local Government Official Appointment Exam Implementation Plan is announced.
The Provincial Office of Education plans to accelerate the establishment of a virtuous cycle educational ecosystem that fosters, employs, grows, and settles local talents by allowing outstanding talents who have received sincere school education in Jeonnam to enter public office and demonstrate their abilities.
Lee Seonguk, Director of the General Affairs Division of the Provincial Office of Education, said, "Expanding local talent recruitment is intended to enhance strengths and overcome crises, and it will greatly help overcome the crisis of regional extinction centered on education," and added, "We will continue to solidify the foundation so that Jeonnam's talents can envision and live their future in Jeonnam."
