BNK Busan Bank, Smartphone Education Volunteer for Seniors

[Financial News] BNK Busan Bank announced on the 14th that it conducted a 'Senior Smartphone Education Volunteer Activity' for about 10 seniors at the Watchi Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Yeongdo-gu, Busan on the 12th.
The Digital IT Team of the Busan Bank Doogeun Doogeun Talent Donation Volunteer Group participated in this education, which was prepared to guide seniors who are not familiar with using smartphones on how to use digital devices, choose the right rate plan, and prevent voice phishing. It aims to enhance information accessibility for the digitally disadvantaged and contribute to the prevention of financial fraud. Busan Bank stated that the satisfaction level of participating seniors was high as the education was conducted with a focus on 1:1 practice using customized textbooks directly produced by the volunteers.
Since the establishment of the Talent Donation Volunteer Group in 2015, Busan Bank has been steadily carrying out various social contribution activities based on the expertise of its employees. This year, the volunteer group has been newly operated in the form of five specialized teams: △Digital IT △Financial Education △Global △Culture and Arts △Plogging Health, with more than 130 employees involved.
The Talent Donation Volunteer Group plans to conduct volunteer activities on the 26th, including △Financial Education △Global and Culture and Arts △Plogging Health teams.
Kim Yong-kyu, Head of Management Strategy Group at Busan Bank, said, "This education was a practice to contribute to improving the quality of life of seniors and bridging the digital gap, beyond just guiding smartphone usage," and added, "We will continue to utilize the professional capabilities of our employees to carry out talent donation activities that provide practical help to the local community."
Meanwhile, Busan Bank designates the third Saturday of every month as 'Local Volunteer Day' and conducts regular volunteer activities across 16 districts in Busan, centered around the 'Doogeun Doogeun Local Volunteer Group.'
