Iksan City to Build Baseball Field on Busong Landfill Site

【Financial News Iksan=Kang In Reporter】 Jeonbuk Iksan City announced on the 14th that it will build one general and one little baseball field on a 32,000㎡ site at the Busong landfill.

As part of the '2025 Sports Promotion Facility Support Project' hosted by Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, a project cost of 5.1 billion won will be invested.

Iksan City plans to complete administrative procedures such as design services and impact assessments and start construction this month.

Currently, two general baseball fields and one little baseball field are being operated at the comprehensive stadium, and when this project is completed, a total of five baseball fields will be available.

This expansion of the baseball field is expected to have a positive effect on the local economy by revitalizing sports for all and attracting teams and spectators.

Jeong Heon-yul, Mayor of Iksan, said, "The baseball field is a key sports asset that enhances urban competitiveness," and "We will continue to expand the foundation so that Iksan can leap forward as a nationwide baseball city."
