【Financial News Jeongeup=Kang In Reporter】 Jeonbuk Jeongeup City announced on the 14th that it will operate a customized response system for the hot season to ensure the safety of senior job participants as the heatwave continues.

This response system will be operated until September and will be implemented for 82 project groups involving 6,837 senior job participants.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's hot season operation guidelines, it will be implemented step by step according to the characteristics of each project group.

In case a heatwave warning is issued, all activities will be suspended. Face-to-face activities will be converted to non-face-to-face education. During the heatwave advisory stage, activity time will be shortened or converted to indoor activities, and even at the heatwave interest stage, heat illness prevention education, supply of goods, and adjustment of activity time will be carried out simultaneously.

In particular, projects targeting some vulnerable groups, such as welfare services, are difficult to suspend, so they plan to continue operating within a limited scope based on strict adherence to safety rules.

Lee Hak-soo, Mayor of Jeongeup, said, "We will prioritize the health and safety of senior job participants and focus administrative capabilities on preventing accidents caused by the heatwave," adding, "We will closely monitor the weather situation and promptly implement adjustments to the project period and conversion to non-face-to-face education if necessary."
