[Financial News] Aroot's semiconductor equipment specialist subsidiary NSRC (NSRC) is set to diversify its product portfolio as a large-scale contract for existing equipment is imminent. NSRC announced on the 14th that it has successfully internalized technology related to high-resolution semiconductor lithography equipment for fine processes. Through this, it plans to expand orders by supplying various products to global semiconductor companies.
NSRC has secured unique refurbishment technology by purchasing semiconductor lithography equipment and upgrading it to meet customer requirements before supplying it to global semiconductor companies. Based on this, it has diversified its product portfolio to include high-value new equipment in addition to existing i-line (i-line), KrF (Krypton Fluoride) lithography equipment.
Recently, there has been a surge in demand for refurbishment equipment that can be quickly applied to production lines from global semiconductor manufacturers. While new semiconductor equipment takes an average of 4 months to over a year to operate after testing, refurbishment equipment can be introduced quickly, minimizing delays in semiconductor wafer production line operations.
NSRC plans to strengthen its strategy to penetrate the global semiconductor market based on new high-value lithography equipment and existing lithography equipment. To this end, it is currently expanding its purchase of lithography equipment and plans to secure high-resolution lithography equipment for fine processes starting this year, according to the company.
An NSRC representative said, "Following an average annual growth of 47% over the past three years until 2023, we successfully expanded our product portfolio even during last year's global recession, achieving a surplus," and added, "We will accelerate performance growth by expanding orders related to new high-value lithography equipment based on the trust gained through numerous supply references to global semiconductor manufacturers."
He continued, "Inquiries about the supply of refurbishment equipment from global semiconductor manufacturers, including China, are continuously increasing," and added, "We will swiftly complete the upgrade work on the recently purchased lithography equipment and focus on securing additional orders."
