According to the global virtual asset information platform CoinMarketCap on the 14th, Bitcoin is trading at $121,000 as of 1:20 PM on this day. This is a 2.80% increase compared to the previous day (24-hour basis). This is the first time Bitcoin has surpassed the $120,000 mark. Bitcoin, which has surged more than 10% over the past week, is trading at 164 million won in the Korean won market. The Korean premium is -0.82% (based on Upbit).
The U.S. Congress has designated the week starting on the 14th (local time) as 'Crypto Week', deciding to focus on discussing virtual asset-related bills, which is believed to be driving investment sentiment towards Bitcoin.
French Hill, Chairman of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, stated in an official statement, "The entire U.S. House will vote on the CLARITY Act, the GENIUS Act, and the CBDC prohibition bill."
At the same time, Ethereum, the second-largest virtual asset by market capitalization, is also up 3% and trading at $3,042. XRP (Ripple) has surged 6% and is trading at $2.93.
