【Financial News Gwangju=Hwang Tae-jong Reporter】The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 14th that it has been implementing the 'Collaboration Point System' since February to actively respond to the complex and diverse educational administration environment and to promote communication and cooperation between departments.
The target is all employees of the city education office (excluding schools), and 200 points are allocated per person on the 1st of each month, with remaining points expiring at the end of the month.
The allocated points can be given to others with a thank you message through the K-Edufine Knowledge Management System when assistance is received during the work process between individual employees. However, it can only be sent twice a month to the same person and cannot be sent within the same department.
Received collaboration points are recognized 100%, and 50% of the collaboration points sent to others are also recognized.
Additionally, special collaboration points of 100 points are awarded to the person in charge selected as the main (overall) department through work consultation involving multiple departments.
As a result of analyzing the implementation of the system for 5 months, the city education office found that a total of 1,766 collaborations were made, accumulating 27,000 points, contributing to the activation of a collaborative culture.
The city education office calculated the total collaboration points by adding the received and sent points to select the top scorers in the first half of the year, and awarded commendations to three 'Outstanding Staff' at the weekly expanded executive meeting held in the main office situation room on this day.
In particular, Baek Seung-hyeon, Officer of the General Affairs Department, who scored 1,445 points, was selected as the top collaboration staff in the first half of the year, and Kwon Seong-taek, Officer of the Future Education Planning Department (1,100 points), and Han Chang-ho, Officer of the General Affairs Department (580 points), were selected as outstanding collaboration staff.
In the case of the main office, the outstanding departments were selected as the General Affairs Department (4,290 points), Future Education Planning Department (3,765 points), and Administrative Budget Department (1,515 points), while the Gwangju City Education Office Student Independence Movement Memorial Hall (1,395 points), Gwangju City Education Office Educational Research Information Center (865 points), and Gwangju Western Education Support Office (845 points) were selected in the support office and affiliated institutions.
The city education office plans to continue analyzing the accumulated collaboration points in the second half of the year to select outstanding staff and departments, aiming to enhance administrative reliability and promote communication between departments through collaboration.
Superintendent Lee Jeong-seon said, "The Collaboration Point System is a starting point for shifting the paradigm of public office culture from 'individual' to 'organizational community'," and added, "In the second half of the year, we will further solidify the administration system centered on collaboration and actively support the discovery and dissemination of excellent collaboration cases."
Meanwhile, the 'Collaboration Point System' is a case introduced by reflecting field opinions through the city education office's proposal system, and is a model case where creative proposals from employees have been realized as actual policies. The city education office plans to further activate the proposal system through this case to continuously promote the discovery and implementation of innovative ideas centered on the field.
