Swimwear Popular Even for Everyday Wear...Transaction Amount Increases Up to 6 Times

According to 29CM (Isipgu Sentimiteo), a preference select shop, analysis of sales data from the 1st to the 10th of this month shows that the transaction amount in the swimwear category increased by about 50% compared to last year. Sales of resort wear such as robes and cover-ups, as well as vacation and leisure items like water sports leggings and towels, also increased.
In particular, swimwear designer brands specializing in vibrant colors, patterns, ribbon and frill details, and diversified materials have shown noticeable growth. They propose looks that blur the line between everyday wear and swimwear, stylishly appealing to female customers.
The swimwear designer brand 'DaysDays' saw its transaction amount increase more than threefold compared to the previous year during this period. It gained word-of-mouth popularity by showcasing fashion swimwear and resort looks with bold cut-out styles and unique pattern designs such as paisley and checks. 'Surfy' is a brand with a lineup of modern design swimwear and resort wear such as dresses and cover-ups, which saw its transaction amount double compared to the previous year during the same period.
'Corallique' is also gaining popularity with stylishly designed swimwear that can be used like everyday wear, featuring ribbons, halternecks, and crochet. On the 2nd of last month, it participated in the 29CM live broadcast '29Live', where the transaction amount surged more than sixfold compared to the average daily amount of the previous week. The brand 'Ready to Kick', known for its swim caps with three-dimensional floral decorations that became a hot topic on social networking services (SNS), is raising its profile as a family swimwear brand covering kids to the 2030 generation and seniors.
Designer brands based on women's clothing are also speeding up their entry into the swimwear market. The women's fashion brand 'Killyman', which launched swimwear this summer, saw its transaction amount rise more than threefold compared to the previous year during this period. It seems that more consumers are accepting swimwear introduced by designer brands that have gained recognition and trust through everyday wear as a familiar choice.
A 29CM representative said, "As demand for enjoying water activities in everyday places such as hotel pools, overseas travel destinations, water parks, and indoor swimming pools increases, various brands are rapidly launching swimwear and resort wear collections," adding, "The strength of designer swimwear brands is expected to continue."
