[Financial News] NH Investment & Securities announced on the 14th that CEO Yoon Byung-woon has participated in the 'Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign' organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health and Welfare Human Resources Development Institute.
'Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign' is a nationwide campaign designed to raise social awareness about the population decline and aging issues facing our country and to establish a foundation for solutions through public-private cooperation.
Since October last year, various public and private institutions have been participating in a relay format. On the 1st, Seo Yoo-seok, chairman of the Korea Financial Investment Association, who participated in the campaign, nominated CEO Yoon as the next participant.
NH Investment & Securities is actively working to spread a corporate culture that is friendly to childbirth, parenting, and family based on empathy for the social task of solving population issues. In 2017, it was the first domestic securities company to open an in-house daycare center. The daycare center located in Yeouido, Seoul, can accommodate about 40 children of employees aged 1 to 5, providing an organic diet and high-level educational programs to alleviate the childcare burden on employees.
Recognized for its efforts to spread a culture of work-family balance, NH Investment & Securities was selected as a 'Family-Friendly Excellent Company' certified by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2023. In 2022, it also received the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award as a 'Company where Working Women are Happy' and the Minister of Employment and Labor Award as an 'Excellent Company for Practicing Work-Life Balance'.
Meanwhile, since taking office in March last year, CEO Yoon has consistently worked to improve employee welfare. In particular, he actively promoted childbirth encouragement policies, such as preemptively applying legislation to allow male employees to take paid leave for up to 20 business days (a total of 4 weeks) when their spouse gives birth.
CEO Yoon stated, "The population issue is a significant national task that everyone must solve together, and I hope this campaign will serve as an opportunity to highlight its importance once again," adding, "NH Investment & Securities will continue to make various efforts to solve the population issue in the future."
