【Financial News Chuncheon=Reporter Kim Ki-seop】Kim Gwang-rae, Economic Vice Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, took office without a separate event on the 14th and immediately presided over a meeting to check core issues, quickly beginning to address tasks.
According to Gangwon Province on the 14th, the meeting included discussions on measures to recover the people's livelihood economy, such as the distribution of consumption coupons directly related to the lives of residents, as well as fostering future strategic industries, expanding SOC, and promoting tourism. Urgent tasks and response plans for each department were discussed.
Economic Vice Governor Kim Gwang-rae, after listening to reports from each department, urged the smooth promotion of current projects and expressed a strong will to solve issues, stating, "I will focus on changes that residents can feel without being tied to conventions or formalities."
He further stated, "It is necessary to respond quickly and organically to provincial issues linked to the launch of the new government, and now is the golden time for Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province to leap forward as a global city of future industries. I will make the vision of the province a reality."
Meanwhile, Kim, who hails from Jumunjin, Gangneung, has served as the president of Gangwon Provincial University, a professor in the Department of Business Administration at Catholic Kwandong University, a standing auditor at Korea District Heating Corporation, and the secretary-general of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences under the Prime Minister's Office. He also served as the vice chairman of the 8th Kim Jin-tae Provincial Government Transition Committee and the chairman of the Culture, Tourism, and Sports Subcommittee.
