Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants Appoints Kim Dong-chul, Jo Yeon-ju, and Oh Gi-won as Full-time Vice Presidents

[Financial News] The Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 14th that it appointed Kim Dong-chul, a certified public accountant from Hanyoung Accounting Corporation, as Administrative Vice President, Jo Yeon-ju, a certified public accountant from the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as Research Vice President, and Oh Gi-won, a certified public accountant from Samil Accounting Corporation, as Accounting Supervision Vice President, following the resolution of the Council of Delegates on the 11th. The term is three years.
Kim Dong-chul, the new Administrative Vice President, was born in 1965 and graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Yonsei University, passing the certified public accountant exam in 1990.
He worked at Sehwa Accounting Corporation and Sedong Accounting Corporation before settling at Hanyoung Accounting Corporation in 1995. At the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he has served as a director and financial director since 2018 and is currently the Vice President of Taxation.
Jo Yeon-ju, the new Research Vice President, was born in 1968 and graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University, later earning a master's degree in business administration from the same university and a doctorate in business administration from Soongsil University. After passing the certified public accountant exam in 1991, she worked at Samil Accounting Corporation, Dasan Accounting Corporation, and the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is currently a non-executive director of the National Pension Service and a member of the Sustainability Standards Board at the Accounting Standards Board.
Oh Gi-won, the new Accounting Supervision Vice President, was born in 1964 and graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University, later earning a master's degree in business administration from the same university. After passing the certified public accountant exam in 1988, he worked at Samil Accounting Corporation and the Financial Supervisory Commission before joining the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants stated, "We have appointed three individuals with high expertise and practical capabilities as new vice presidents," and added, "We plan to actively pursue projects to complete accounting reform and enhance national competitiveness through the enactment of the Basic Accounting Act."
