[Financial News] Kim Byung-gi, acting representative and floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 14th regarding the confirmation hearings of Lee Jae-myung government ministerial candidates, "We will respond resolutely to the outdated, baseless personal attacks and smear campaigns, as well as excessive obstruction of state affairs by the opposition."
Floor Leader Kim stated at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on this day, "From today, confirmation hearings for 16 ministerial candidates and the National Tax Service commissioner candidate will be conducted. The Democratic Party's confirmation standards are practicality, ability, and performance," he said.
Floor Leader Kim emphasized, "It is important to have the qualities and abilities to quickly overcome the economic crisis, livelihood crisis, and trade crisis and achieve results that the public can feel," adding, "The Democratic Party will thoroughly verify those qualities and abilities to meet the public's expectations."
He further stated, "I urge the candidates awaiting public judgment to resolve the raised suspicions and clearly explain their prepared capabilities and willingness to act," adding, "The Lee Jae-myung government must succeed for Korea to thrive. The Democratic Party will support the Lee Jae-myung government to ensure it can work effectively."
Regarding the announcement of the return of all medical students, Floor Leader Kim stated, "We will listen to the voices of the students who have decided to trust the National Assembly and the government, as well as the experts," adding, "We will strive for coordination and agreement for medical normalization. We will do our best to achieve results that reassure the public as soon as possible."
