[Financial News] KB Securities announced on the 14th that the 'Fund Online Trading Event (Again, the Time for Funds)' which started on June 23rd, exceeded 10,000 participants by July 1st, just four days after its launch.
This event was planned to target investors who feel burdened by direct investment or those looking for alternative investment destinations, amidst a recovery in investment sentiment across the stock market due to expectations of interest rate cuts and shareholder return policies.
As of July 1st, the fourth day of the event, approximately 29% of the 10,000 participants were young people (aged 19-39). This is analyzed to be due to the lowering of participation thresholds by relaxing net purchase amount criteria and enhancing benefits such as prizes. Additionally, the participation ratio of intermediary ISA accounts compared to entrusted accounts is slightly higher, attracting interest by adding event benefits (double recognition of net purchase amount) to tax-saving benefits.
A KB Securities representative said, “The perception of funds is shifting from short-term profits to long-term asset management, expanding the investment base,” and “This event is drawing high responses by reflecting the needs of various customer groups such as young people and tax-saving accounts in line with market trends.”
Meanwhile, KB Securities, in addition to the event, launched a new stock curation screen 'Now is the Time for K-Premium' on July 4th (Friday) on its MTS 'KB M-able (Marvel)' to enhance investment convenience. It aims to assist customers' investment decisions by intuitively organizing major theme-based funds and ETF products on one screen amidst the domestic stock market revaluation trend.
Heejae Son, Head of Digital Business Group at KB Securities, said, “Customer interest and response exceeded expectations in the rapidly changing market environment,” and “We will continue to prepare various programs that contribute to investors' practical investment benefits and long-term asset growth.”
This 'Fund Online Trading Event (Again, the Time for Funds)' targets non-face-to-face/bank-linked entrusted and intermediary ISA accounts and will run until August 29th, offering a total of three benefits: △ Fund random coupon for the first 20,000 people △ Shinsegae gift certificate for net purchase amount of domestic/overseas investment funds (double recognition of net purchase amount for intermediary ISA accounts) △ Additional Olive Young gift certificates and prizes for young people (aged 19-39). To receive benefits, the balance of the net purchase amount must be maintained until September 30th (Tuesday), and ETF, MMF, ultra-short-term bond funds, and foreign currency settlement fund trading amounts are excluded from net purchase amount calculation.
Financial investment products may result in loss of investment principal (partial or full) due to asset price fluctuations, exchange rate fluctuations, credit rating downgrades, etc., and this is borne by the investor. For detailed information on the event, refer to the KB Securities website or contact the customer center.
