Plan to Investigate the Circumstances of the Secret Phone Deletion
[Financial News] The Insurrection and Foreign Affairs Special Prosecutor Team (led by Cho Eun-seok) is re-summoning Park Jong-jun, former Chief of Presidential Security, for investigation.
Former Chief Park appeared at the special prosecutor's office set up at the Seoul High Prosecutor's Office at 9:56 a.m. on the 14th. This is the second time the special prosecutor team has summoned Former Chief Park, following the first on the 4th.
The special prosecutor team is expected to focus on investigating the circumstances under which the secret phone information of Hong Jang-won, former Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service, was deleted after the emergency martial law declaration on December 3. Former Deputy Director Hong previously disclosed part of the secret phone screen at the National Assembly, stating it was an order received from former President Yoon Seok-yeol on the day of the martial law.
Former Chief Park is also accused of obstructing the execution of an arrest warrant for former President Yoon by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials last January.
