100,000 Jobs Created, Economic Impact Estimated at 20 Trillion Won
【Financial News Incheon=Han Gapsu Reporter】 The largest 5D theme park in Korea, which is being promoted for construction in Incheon Yeongjong International City, is expected to create about 100,000 jobs and have a direct and indirect economic impact of 20 trillion won.
The operator of the 5D theme park, KIT WORLD Co., Ltd. (hereafter KIT WORLD), announced on the 14th that once the theme park project is completed, it is expected to attract over 20 million visitors annually, create about 100,000 jobs, and have an economic impact of 20 trillion won.
KIT WORLD predicted this based on its own research and analysis using AI (artificial intelligence), with advice from university professors and related experts and data from related institutions for over two months since last May.
In terms of job creation, a total of 100,000 jobs are expected, including 20,000 direct jobs and 80,000 indirect jobs (regional linkage), with effects such as 1,000 youth internships annually and priority contracts for more than 50 social enterprises.
In terms of the environment, about 500 billion won will be invested in eco-friendly infrastructure such as carbon reduction facilities and solar power, with an expected annual carbon reduction of about 30,000 tons and participation of about 50,000 people in ecological education.
In the education and technology sector, it is possible to nurture talent with 1 million annual experiences of metaverse and XR (extended reality) and VR (virtual reality) content, a startup fund of 50 billion won, 300 regional education programs annually, and a creative talent camp for 2,000 people annually.
In terms of culture, based on K-Culture, it is expected to operate a 20,000-seat K-Arena year-round, invite 10,000 culturally marginalized people for free annually, and attract 8 to 10 million K-Culture visitors annually.
A KIT WORLD representative said, "Inquiry calls are pouring in every day. In the future, visits from American investors to Korea and business presentations are scheduled, so we ask for a lot of interest and support."
