[Financial News] The Venture Business Association is joining hands with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to support domestic SMEs and venture companies entering the Middle East. This project is noteworthy as the Saudi Arabian government agency is directly participating to provide substantial investment opportunities.
The Venture Business Association announced on the 14th that it is promoting the '2025 SME and Venture Company Middle East Entry Support Project' in cooperation with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, and is recruiting participating companies until the 24th.
The event will be held from September 25 to October 2 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Plans are to select 27 companies in four major fields: AI, bio-healthcare, tourism-entertainment, and smart city-architecture, and provide customized local programs.
Main programs include business meetups with local government agencies and global companies, investment attraction presentations, and networking events. Pre-capacity building education for participating companies will also be conducted.
In particular, the fact that the Saudi government is directly involved in the company selection process is a differentiating factor. It is explained that it is designed to enable practical business matching that reflects local demand, rather than simple overseas dispatch.
'HUMAIN', the Saudi AI general agency, is considering business delegation or equity investment of up to 2 million dollars. The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Investment, tourism and construction-related government agencies, and private venture capital (VC) are also participating as cooperating organizations.
