Dance Drama 'Gang Sun-yeong' Depicting the Life of Taepyeongmu Holder to be Performed on the 25th and 26th

[Financial News] The National Intangible Heritage Center of the National Heritage Administration announced on the 14th that the dance drama 'Master Homage - Dance Drama, Gang Sun-yeong', which expresses the life and artistic world of the late master Gang Sun-yeong, a holder of the national intangible heritage Taepyeongmu, will be performed at the Eolssumaru Grand Theater in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, on the 25th at 7:30 PM and on the 26th at 4 PM. 
This stage is composed of five chapters, from Master Gang's childhood to the period at the Joseon Music Research Institute, the hardships and growth as an artist, and the world of Taepyeongmu left as a legacy, expressing his traditional dance aesthetics and human journey in a three-dimensional way.
Master Gang's representative works such as Taepyeongmu, Seungmu, Salpuri Dance, and Mudang Dance are restructured according to the flow of the play, conveying the vitality of traditional art through the fusion of dance, acting, and sound.
The role of the protagonist, Master Gang, is played by his disciple and current holder of the national intangible heritage Taepyeongmu, Yang Seong-ok. The child role is played by dance competition winner Cha Eun-seo, and the youth role of Gang Sun-yeong is played by actress Jeong Yun-hye, depicting a complex character that traverses three periods.
Additionally, over 30 members of the Master Gang Dance Preservation Society, Seo Jeong-geum, a senior member of the National Changgeuk Company, Ko Jun-seok, a deputy senior member of the National Folk Music Institute Changgeuk Company, and Lee Chi-hyeon, the grand prize winner of the 14th Jangsu Nongae National Pansori Competition, will also appear.
