National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage, Joint Investigation with Mongolia on 'Harbuhing Balgas Site'

[Financial News] The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage of the National Heritage Agency announced on the 14th that it will conduct a safety inspection and conservation status survey of the Mongolian national designated architectural heritage 'Harbuhing Balgas Site' with the National Center for Cultural Heritage of the Mongolian Ministry of Culture from the 15th to the 22nd.
This investigation is in accordance with the 'Korea-Mongolia Cultural Heritage Safety and Disaster Prevention Exchange Cooperation' agreement and working agreement signed last year, and is part of the exchange cooperation that the research institutes of both countries have continued since 2017.
The Harbuhing Balgas Site in the Bulgan region of Mongolia retains traces of a 10th-century fortress and a 17th-century temple. The investigation team plans to check the structural safety and material preservation status of this heritage and discuss preservation management plans.
