[Financial News] Kia announced on the 14th that it has launched the model year change of the sports utility vehicle (SUV) Sorento, 'The 2026 Sorento', and has begun full-scale sales.
The new Sorento is characterized by enhanced advanced driver assistance features and an increased sense of luxury in interior and exterior design.
All trims come standard with Lane Keeping Assist 2 and Steering Wheel Grip Detection, providing a safer and more convenient driving experience. The popular Kia Digital Key 2 and touch-type outside door handle options are also standardized from the popular trim, Noblesse, to enhance practicality.
The 2026 Sorento features a new design 4-spoke steering wheel, and ambient lighting has been expanded compared to the previous model to enhance the sense of luxury in the interior.
In addition, the hybrid model adds new 19-inch wheels with a sophisticated design, expanding customer choice. The newly added 19-inch wheels are available from the Signature trim, and for the 2WD model, the eco-car tax benefit can be received even when selecting the 19-inch wheels.
Moreover, Kia has changed the name of the existing Gravity trim to 'X-Line', adding black emblems and wheel caps to maximize the strong feeling unique to the design-specialized trim X-Line.
The selling price of The 2026 Sorento is △Prestige 35.8 million won △Noblesse 38.91 million won △Signature 41.68 million won △X-Line 42.6 million won for the 2.5 gasoline turbo model. For the 2.2 diesel model, △Prestige 37.5 million won △Noblesse 40.61 million won △Signature 43.38 million won △X-Line 44.31 million won.
The 1.6 gasoline turbo hybrid 2WD model is △Prestige 38.96 million won △Noblesse 42.17 million won △Signature 44.67 million won △X-Line 45.59 million won, and the 4WD model is △Prestige 42.25 million won △Noblesse 45.46 million won △Signature 47.95 million won △X-Line 48.88 million won.
A Kia official said, "Sorento has solidified its status as a best-selling car by ranking first in domestic sales in the first half of this year, following last year, based on excellent product quality," adding, "The 2026 Sorento will provide even greater satisfaction to customers based on its enhanced product quality."
