[Financial News] A woman in her 40s, who was forcibly removed from an internet cafe run by an internet instructor after posting incomprehensible comments, harbored resentment and sent severe abuse and curses via email 390 times, receiving a suspended prison sentence.

On the 13th, Judge Kim Taek-seong of the Chuncheon District Court's Criminal Division 2 sentenced A (46), who was indicted on charges of violating the Stalking Punishment Act, to six months in prison with probation, ordering protective supervision and 40 hours of lectures on preventing re-offending of stalking crimes.

A was indicted for sending various abusive messages and content stating that she would commit sexual crimes against B, the internet instructor, to B's wife from July last year for about a month, sending 390 emails to B's wife during that period.

According to the investigation, A harbored resentment after being forcibly removed from an internet cafe run by B, where she was taking B's internet lectures, after posting incomprehensible comments. A then resorted to swearing and cursing B through phone calls, voicemail messages, emails, and YouTube comments. When B reported A to the police and blocked her phone number, asking her not to call anymore, A sent emails to his wife.

Judge Kim explained the sentencing reason, saying, "Considering the circumstances of the crime, the situation after the crime, and the current situation of the defendant, it is judged that suspending the execution of the prison sentence and ordering protective supervision and regular guidance and supervision through lectures on preventing re-offending of stalking crimes is more effective in preventing re-offending."
