Internal Leader Driving Innovation with Customer-Centric Automation Solutions
[Financial News] Korea Roche Diagnostics announced on the 14th that Seunghee Cho has been appointed as the head of the Molecular Diagnostics Division. The newly appointed Executive Director Seunghee Cho joined Korea Roche Diagnostics in 2008 in the Pathology Diagnostics Division's Academic Department and has successfully held key positions such as Product Manager, Marketing Manager, and Agile Team Lead, gaining extensive experience across the Pathology Diagnostics Division and the Diagnostics Testing Division.
In particular, by leading an agile organization based on interdepartmental collaboration, he contributed to the establishment of Korea Roche Diagnostics' agile organizational culture.
Since 2023, he has overseen the I&I (Integration & Innovation) department, leading laboratory automation and recently achieved the significant milestone of establishing the 100th automated customer site.
Executive Director Cho stated, "As molecular diagnostics is a rapidly evolving field based on advanced technology, I will focus on quickly providing innovative solutions to customers and patients," and "I will also share the clinical, social, and economic value of molecular diagnostics with various stakeholders to create innovation together."
Korea Roche Diagnostics' Molecular Diagnostics Division possesses a variety of molecular diagnostic solutions, including tests for infectious diseases such as hepatitis B and C, HIV, blood screening tests for transfusion compatibility, and tests for the human papillomavirus (HPV), the cause of cervical cancer.
Additionally, based on its capabilities in respiratory infection testing, including COVID-19, it is contributing to pandemic response and leading innovation in the domestic molecular diagnostics field through a wide-ranging portfolio, including next-generation sequencing based on nucleotide sequence analysis.
