CJ CheilJedang Unveils 'Bibigo K-Chicken' in Australia for the First Time.. Expanding K-Food Territory

[Financial News] CJ CheilJedang is accelerating the expansion of 'K-Food territory' by introducing K-Chicken in Australia for the first time.
CJ CheilJedang announced on the 14th that it has launched 'Bibigo Korean Style Chicken' at Woolworths, Australia's number one large supermarket. This is the first time Bibigo Chicken is being sold in Australia with locally produced products.
The new products include two types: Bibigo Korean Style Chicken Seasoned Flavor and Soy Honey Flavor. They are characterized by being easy to cook at home using an oven or air fryer. The Korean-style seasoned chicken and soy sauce chicken flavor sauces are packaged separately from the chicken, allowing consumers to adjust the amount to their liking.
Following Woolworths, sales will also begin at another local large supermarket chain, IGA, starting next month.
Bibigo Korean Style Chicken has established a local production system to supply fresh ingredients preferred by local consumers.
Through this, products reflecting consumer trends will be continuously introduced. CJ CheilJedang is also considering producing Bibigo Vegetable Dumplings, a popular product in Australia, locally.
In 2023, CJ CheilJedang introduced 'Bibigo King Dumplings' produced locally for the first time. After that, they increased production items to include steamed dumplings, homestyle dumplings, and began local production of Bibigo Sliced Napa Cabbage Kimchi in March last year.
Yujin Cha, head of CJ CheilJedang's Oceania corporation, said, "We are pleased to introduce the globally popular Bibigo K-Chicken to Australian consumers," adding, "We will continue to promote Korean food culture through various products."
