Direct import of Japanese convenience store hot item 'Hokkaido Souffle Pudding'... Limited release of 160,000 units
[Financial News] CU announced on the 14th that it will showcase various globally popular desserts that have become a hot topic on social media (SNS).
The product that CU will first introduce this month is the famous Japanese convenience store dessert 'Hokkaido Souffle Pudding (Cheese, Choco)'. It will be exclusively sourced and released on the 16th with a limited quantity of 160,000 units.
To present the pudding taste that can be enjoyed locally, direct import was chosen.
Additionally, CU launched the 'Danggwajeom Berry Brick Cake' earlier this month, inspired by the Turkish chocolate cake that became a hot topic on SNS among people in their 10s and 20s. It is a product that combines red velvet cake sheets with buttercream and berry jam, wrapped in chocolate to create a colorful cross-section.
France's premium dessert, Crème Brûlée, was also launched for the first time. 'Custard Crème Brûlée' is a product with a thin layer of white chocolate over custard cream, topped with sugar that is melted with fire to create a dalgona coating layer.
Kim Goni, MD of BGF Retail's snack food team, said, "We have introduced various issue products so that consumers can access globally popular desserts more quickly and conveniently," adding, "CU will continue to introduce differentiated products in various ways to meet customer needs and lead industry trends."
