[Financial News] LS Cable & System announced on the 14th that it has launched the 'high-flexibility industrial universal serial bus (USB) cable' that can withstand repetitive movements for the first time in Korea.
This product features high durability, operating without disconnection or performance degradation even after being bent over 1 million times, along with high-speed data transmission capabilities. According to LS Cable & System, compared to existing imported products from Germany, Taiwan, etc., which experience disconnection at around 300,000 to 400,000 times, the lifespan has been extended by about three times.
LS Cable & System considers this product a significant achievement in terms of localization and technological competitiveness. It is expected to be actively used in facilities with frequent repetitive operations, such as semiconductor, display, and secondary battery production lines, as well as in internet protocol (IP) cameras, closed-circuit (CC) TVs, and Internet of Things (IoT) equipment.
This product has received international certification from the Korea Information and Communication Technology Association (TTA). In addition to durability, it meets international standards in more than 10 categories, including connectivity, insulation and contact resistance, impact, and vibration, securing quality reliability, according to LS Cable & System. The product development was carried out in collaboration between LS Cable & System and Gangwon Electronics. LS Cable & System was responsible for cable design and production, while Gangwon Electronics incorporated consumer feedback and market demand.
