[Financial News] KakaoMap announced on the 14th that it has opened a user participation-based information reporting service 'Report Reward' and will hold an event until the 27th.
Report Reward is a participatory service where users take photos of restaurant business hours or menu information and report them. If the information is approved, they receive Kakao Shopping Points that can be used in KakaoTalk Gift and Talk Deal.
You can report business hours and menus in the 'Restaurant' category, and you can receive up to 400 points per location.
Users can press the 'Report Points' button located at the top of the KakaoMap app, select a candidate location, and propose business hours or menu information that needs correction.
For restaurants not registered on the map, you can suggest restaurant registration in the 'New Place' report that appears when you press and hold the location.
To commemorate the opening of the service, an additional 1,000 points will be awarded for the first approved report during the event period.
Bonus shopping points are awarded sequentially, separate from the basic reward, and the event may end early if the budget is exhausted. The results of the report approval and point accumulation history can be checked in the My Tab of the KakaoMap app.
Bang Kyunghwa, leader of Kakao Place Tribe, said, "Report Reward was planned to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of location information," and "We plan to expand the target of Report Reward to various industries beyond restaurants, and provide richer and more reliable location information."
