[Financial News]  In India, a shocking incident occurred where a man in his 40s killed his daughter, a former tennis player. The motive for the crime was revealed to be an issue of pride due to rumors that he was living off his daughter's earnings.
On the 14th, according to Indian media such as the Times of India, former tennis player Radhika Yadav (25) was shot dead by her father Deepak Yadav (49) in Gurugram, Haryana. The incident occurred on the morning of the 10th at around 10:30 AM in the kitchen of the house where the two lived together. At that time, Deepak shot Radhika while she was cooking, and Radhika collapsed after being hit by three bullets in the neck and back.
Her uncle Kuldeep ran to the scene upon hearing the gunshots and found Radhika, and with the help of neighbors, she was moved to the hospital but was already deceased. Deepak was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.
According to police investigations, Deepak had been in constant conflict regarding his daughter's tennis academy operations. Born in 2000, Radhika had recently retired from her playing career due to an injury and had started a second life running a tennis academy. However, it was revealed that Deepak felt humiliated by neighbors' remarks that he was living off his daughter's earnings and had demanded she close the academy.
It was known that their family was not suffering from severe financial difficulties. Deepak had rental income from buildings and was not entirely dependent on his daughter for livelihood. However, he also showed strong opposition to his daughter's social media activities, and eventually, Radhika deleted all her accounts.
A police official stated, "Deepak admitted to the crime," and "He was not pleased with his daughter teaching tennis and told her to quit, but she refused."
