【Financial News Daegu=Kim Jangwook Reporter】 Daegu City is accelerating the creation of an innovative robot industry ecosystem with 10 companies including robot parts, finished products, and demand companies.
Daegu City announced that on the 14th afternoon, it will sign a mutual cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with 10 robot specialized companies at the Sangyeok Building's main conference room to foster the humanoid and artificial intelligence (AI) advanced robot industry.
This agreement is prepared to accelerate the fostering of the robot industry as a national advanced strategic industry and to expand the regional robot industry ecosystem by strengthening the cooperation system between companies.
The participating companies include LS Mecapion, SL, Samick THK, Sambo Motors, PHA, Baylis, Seongrim Advanced Industry, and other regional parts companies and demand companies, as well as robot finished product companies such as Doosan Robotics, HD Hyundai Robotics, and Neuromeka, totaling 10 places.
Hong Seongju, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, said, "We will strategically foster the AI advanced robot industry, including humanoids, to support local companies in gaining competitiveness in the global market," and emphasized, "We hope this agreement will be a catalyst for cooperation among participating companies, and we will support the growth of robot specialized companies through various policies."
