The local coexistence project is a regional production and cooperation project that creates jobs and expands market channels for small businesses by linking plant consignment cultivation with local farms to landscape creation and cultural festivals.
The newly published booklet includes △ basic information △ contact and social network services (SNS) △ main plant sales information for 34 farms located in Sejong City, including Bonghwa County, Gyeongbuk Province, which are participating in the local coexistence project.
Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Institute plans to distribute the booklet free of charge to 247 local governments, arboretum, garden, and landscaping-related companies and organizations for consumers who wish to purchase plants.
Shim Sang-taek, Chairman of Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Institute, said, "Through the booklet, local farms will be able to solve the problem of market development that has been felt daunting so far," adding, "It is expected to provide practical economic help by establishing a distribution and transaction base with public and private institutions."
