Fire in the Operating Room at Chosun University Hospital.. Patients and Medical Staff Evacuated (2nd Report)

[Financial News] A fire broke out in the operating room on the 7th floor of the new building at Chosun University Hospital in Hak-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju at around 8:12 AM on the 14th.

According to the fire authorities, there were no casualties from this fire. However, due to the smoke, patients and medical staff inside the hospital were evacuated urgently.

The fire was completely extinguished using the hospital's own fire extinguisher 10 minutes after the report was received, according to a fire official.

The fire authorities stated that the fire is presumed to have been caused by damage to the wiring inside the operating room and that they are investigating the specific cause of ignition and the extent of the damage.
