Siheung City Strengthens Heat Illness Emergency Room Monitoring System

【Financial News Siheung=Kim Kyung-su Reporter】 Gyeonggi Siheung City is operating a 'Heat Illness Emergency Room Monitoring System' in cooperation with three local general hospitals as patients continue to occur due to the heat wave.
According to Siheung City on the 14th, the city health center is sharing real-time information on the occurrence of heat illnesses with Shihwa Hospital, Central Hospital, and Sincheon Union Hospital, and is operating an emergency contact network. 
In addition, promotional activities for external workplace workers and preventive activities such as checking on the elderly, who are a health-vulnerable group, are also conducted.
The city plans to minimize the occurrence of heat illnesses during the heat wave concentration period until August and to do its best in preventive activities so that citizens can have a healthy summer. 
Lee Hyeong-jeong, head of Siheung City Health Center, said, "To prevent heat illnesses, it is important to shower frequently and wear cool clothes," and "In case of heat illness, immediately move to a cool place, drink water, and if symptoms are severe, immediately report to 119."
