[Financial News]  Regarding the '12·3 Emergency Martial Law' situation, the special prosecutor team for rebellion (Special Prosecutor Jo Eun-seok) investigating the rebellion and foreign exchange cases plans to summon former President Yoon Seok-yeol for questioning on the 14th.

A month after the appointment of the third special prosecutor, having secured testimonies from key figures in the Yoon Seok-yeol government that could be decisive in future investigations, each special prosecutor team is speeding up the summoning of related parties, expecting additional testimonies.

In particular, as former National Security Office First Deputy Kim Tae-hyo and former Security Deputy Kim Seong-hun, confidants of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, have started to speak, the special prosecutor's investigation is gaining momentum. They have reversed their past statements and provided testimony unfavorable to former President Yoon.
Former President Yoon notified to appear today at 2 PM

The special prosecutor team for rebellion requested former President Yoon to appear at 2 PM on the 11th.

Before the first special prosecutor summons investigation after his arrest, former President Yoon submitted a non-appearance statement citing health reasons.

In response, the special prosecutor team countered, "We received a reply from the correctional authorities indicating that there are no health issues preventing him from attending the investigation."

Former President Yoon's side reported that they have not yet discussed whether to appear as weekend visits to the detention center are not allowed.

The special prosecutor team hinted at the possibility of forced summons if former President Yoon does not respond to the summons again. Special Prosecutor Park Ji-young of the rebellion special prosecutor team said in a briefing on the 11th, "If non-compliance with the appearance request is expected, we may proceed with the next step along with an additional appearance notice."
Yoon absent from criminal trial... Refused to testify during the Public Prosecution Service investigation

Former President Yoon was also absent from the criminal trial on rebellion charges on the 10th for the same reason. The special prosecutor team requested the court to consider specific measures such as issuing a subpoena if the defendant continues to be absent.

Additionally, former President Yoon refused to comply with the Public Prosecution Service's appearance request between last December and January, stating that "the Public Prosecution Service has no authority to investigate rebellion charges."

Moreover, when the Public Prosecution Service executed an arrest warrant on January 15th, he refused their investigation except for the investigation on the day of the arrest. He refused to testify during the arrest day investigation and did not sign or seal the records.

Subsequently, the court denied the extension of the arrest warrant at the prosecution stage, leading to an indictment without a face-to-face investigation. Effectively, the special prosecutor team conducted proper face-to-face investigations on June 28th and July 5th.

Currently, former President Yoon faces charges including △obstruction of the execution of an arrest warrant △infringement of the deliberation rights of cabinet members △drafting of a post-martial law proclamation △deletion of secure phone records △false public announcements related to martial law, among others, including foreign exchange inducement charges.

If the summons investigation of former President Yoon is conducted today, the special prosecutor team is expected to focus on investigating remaining charges such as foreign exchange inducement, in addition to the charges listed in the arrest warrant.
