[Financial News] Bitcoin, which has been hitting record highs day after day this month, surpassed $119,000 (approximately 164.16 million KRW) per unit on the 13th (local time), setting a new all-time high again. The market is focusing on the new pro-virtual asset bill of the US Donald Trump administration.

On the 13th (local time), according to the US virtual asset exchange Coinbase, the price of Bitcoin per unit was traded at $119,049, up 1.37% from 24 hours ago, as of 11:22 AM Eastern Time in the US.

This is the first time Bitcoin's price has surpassed the $119,000 mark. The price first surpassed the $112,000 mark on the 9th, breaking the previous high recorded on May 22. It then rose to the $118,800 level on the 11th.

At the same time, Ethereum, the second-largest by market capitalization, rose 2.5% to recover the $3,000 mark per unit. XRP (Ripple) rose 5.84% to trade at $2.87. XRP recently rose to third place in market capitalization, overtaking the stablecoin Tether. On this day, Solana and Dogecoin also rose 2.54% and 3.89% to trade at $163 and $0.2, respectively.

On the 10th, French Hill, Chairman of the US House Financial Services Committee (Republican, Arkansas), announced that the week of the 14th to the 18th of this month would be 'Virtual Asset Week' in the House. The House will address three virtual asset bills, including the stablecoin regulation bill, the GENIUS bill, this week. The market sees that if these bills are passed, the pro-virtual asset policy of the Trump administration will gain momentum.
