[Financial News] "Donald Trump has changed. He has changed a lot."
On the first anniversary of the 'assassination attempt shooting', stories are emerging that President Trump of the United States has changed significantly. During last year's election campaign, he was injured on the upper part of his right ear by a gunshot from an assassination attempt. The incident, in which one supporter died from the bullet, marks its first anniversary on the 13th. His acquaintances and those around him have said, "Since then, 'Donald' has changed a lot."
On the 12th (local time), AP News and others reported that "Trump's close aides said, 'Signs of change began to appear after he returned from the brink of death.'"
On July 13 last year, during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, a battleground state, Trump was giving a speech when he was shot by a 20-year-old man named Thomas Matthew Crooks. He survived, but one supporter at the scene died, and two others were seriously injured.
Lindsey Graham, a long-time ally of President Trump and a U.S. Senator (Republican, South Carolina), told AP News, "That incident seems to always remain in the depths of Trump's mind." He said, "He still acts rough and unpredictably and hasn't suddenly turned into a Buddhist practitioner, but he is more appreciative and shows interest in his friends."
President Trump also sent an unprecedented congratulatory message on Senator Graham's recent birthday. Senator Graham added, "In fact, it was a miracle that Trump escaped death in that incident," and "It is clear that his belief that he is living a second life has strengthened since then."
Since this incident, President Trump has frequently mentioned "divine blessing." White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles said on a podcast last week, "President Trump believes he survived for a reason," and "He believes he was saved by God. In the past, he might not have thought about it, but this time he really acknowledges it."
She added, "Every time he says 'God Bless America,' the President feels it as his personal blessing."
Since that incident, he has become more cautious, and security has been strictly reinforced. The use of bulletproof glass has also increased.
Meanwhile, on the first anniversary of the shooting on the 13th, President Trump attended the FIFA Club World Cup final held in New Jersey.
