[Financial News] "The Sapporo Premium Beer Stand is a store that reinterprets Japan Ginza's 'Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label The Bar' in a Korean style and is the first to be introduced outside Japan."
Jeong Beomsik, CEO of M's Beverage, said, "The 'Sapporo Premium Beer Stand' is being introduced as a permanent store, not a pop-up store." M's Beverage, an affiliate of Maeil Dairies, is the official importer of Sapporo Beer. Sapporo Beer is Japan's first and finest beer, started in 1876.
At the opening ceremony of the permanent store held on the 11th in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, Inoue Taisuke, Head of the Asia Pacific & Europe Division of Sapporo Beer International Business Headquarters, and Tanabe Toshihiro, Sapporo Global Brand Manager, also attended.
Manager Tanabe Toshihiro said, "In 2019, we first opened 'Sapporo The Bar' in Ginza, Japan, where you can enjoy premium Sapporo draft beer while standing," and introduced, "At the Beer Stand in Korea, you can enjoy Sapporo draft beer in two ways, just like in Japan."
In the store, a professional tapper directly pours Sapporo draft beer into a thin glass of 1.1mm. After washing the glass in a special device that rises like a fountain and pouring the draft beer to overflow, the foam is neatly removed with a special knife. The glass is washed by immersing it in ice water before serving, and the method that perfectly implements the 7:3 ratio of foam and beer is called 'Perfect Pour.' The Sapporo Beer Stand is a standing-only store, as its name suggests, and each person can drink up to three glasses. The 'Tachinomi' style of standing drinking in Japan has been modified in a Korean style.
Inoue Taisuke, Head of the Division, said, "In Japan, you can drink up to two glasses, and in Korea, up to three glasses," and "This is to introduce the special experience of Sapporo draft beer to more people."
The menu that can be enjoyed with beer is simple, including sausages, burdock fries, salad, and ham and cheese plate. It seemed more suitable for light beer enjoyment while having conversations as a second or third round rather than with a meal.
