[Financial News] Seoul Learn is evolving into a customized education welfare platform. It newly introduces advanced learning services such as real-time artificial intelligence (AI) tutors, 1-on-1 essay mentoring, and a customized diagnosis and support system for slightly slower children. The support target is also expanded to multi-child families and youth at local children's centers.
Seoul City announced on the 13th that it will expand Seoul Learn into a 'customized education welfare platform' from the second half of the year.
Seoul Learn is an education welfare project by Seoul City that provides online lectures, 1-on-1 mentoring, and career consulting to teenagers who find private education difficult. Since its launch in 2021, about 35,000 people have learned through Seoul Learn as of the end of June. After using Seoul Learn, 95% of those who took the college entrance exam in 2025 responded that "Seoul Learn was practically helpful for the entrance exam."
From the 1st, Seoul Learn members have been able to take unlimited free lectures from famous instructors on learning sites expanded from 22 to 24. Through the newly added Ice Cream Home Run Middle School (curriculum) and Fast Campus (extracurricular), students from middle school to university can choose customized content that suits their learning level and career goals.
Additionally, to provide detailed customized support tailored to each learner's level and career preparation stage, new specialized programs such as 'real-time AI tutor', 'customized support for slightly slower children', and '1-on-1 essay mentoring' are introduced. This allows learners to immediately resolve questions that arise during learning, and provides tailored support for everyone from elementary school students with slow learning speeds to high school students preparing for college entrance essay writing.
The real-time AI tutor service provides professional instructor video solutions when there is an unknown problem during learning by uploading photos or text. The customized support for slightly slower children targets 50 lower-grade elementary school students with insufficient basic learning skills, designing and supporting customized learning strategies through pre- and post-learning ability tests at a professional psychological counseling center. The 1-on-1 essay mentoring involves conducting 1-on-1 offline mentoring for 2 hours once a week with a mentor who has essay guidance capabilities.
Along with the expansion of Seoul Learn's learning program, the benefits of Seoul Learn are expanded to multi-child families and youth using local children's centers through private sponsorship. It is expected to serve as an opportunity to alleviate the educational cost burden of multi-child families and bridge the learning gap of children using local children's centers amid the recent decline in school-age population and low birth rate issues.
Jung Jin-woo, Director of Lifelong Education at Seoul City, said, "The changes in Seoul Learn in the second half of this year are the evolution of educational welfare that allows children to not be discriminated against at the starting line and to unfold their potential in various fields," adding, "We will continue to discover and expand customized programs for each target's needs and make efforts for detailed learning support."
