Ministry of Education '2025 Japan Staff Invitation Training in Korea' Held from 14th to 20th

[Financial News] About 100 teachers from Korea and Japan gather in Jeju to discuss educational cooperation and solidarity for a week.
The Ministry of Education announced on the 13th that it will hold the '2025 Japan Staff Invitation Training in Korea (Korea-Japan Teacher Dialogue)' to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, in cooperation with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, from the 14th to the 20th for 7 days.
Ha Yu-gyeong, Director of Global Education Planning, said, "The 'Korea-Japan Teacher Dialogue' project is a valuable foundation that has built trust between Korea and Japan through teacher exchanges," and added, "I hope this training will serve as an opportunity to show the power of education that connects hearts beyond borders based on mutual understanding."
This is an educational exchange program between the two countries' staff that started in 2001, and approximately 3,200 staff members have experienced each other's educational environments and continued practical exchanges discussing coexistence.
This training invites 60 Japanese staff selected through public recruitment from all over Japan, under the theme 'Happy School: Creating an Educational Community Together'. Participants will explore Korea's educational sites and participate in various programs for solidarity and cooperation.
First, from the 15th to the 17th, they will explore Jeju's educational sites and natural heritage. They will experience Korea's educational activities at four schools, including observing a mock UN class at Pyoseon High School and participating in a Jeju culture experience class at Samsung Girls' High School. During this time, they will directly interact with teachers, students, and parents on site to experience the actual operation methods and culture. They will also visit community-linked educational institutions such as the Jeju Multicultural Education Center and the Dream Key Olle Career Experience Center, as well as Jeju's natural heritage, to directly tour various out-of-school learning spaces in Jeju.
On the 18th and 19th, the 'Korea-Japan Teacher Dialogue 25th Anniversary Teacher Forum' will be held. Teachers from both countries will discuss the theme 'Korea-Japan Educational Community Moving Forward with Cooperation and Solidarity'. About 100 teachers from both countries, including more than 30 Korean teachers who participated in past programs, will participate to explore the direction of cooperation to solve common educational challenges beyond borders based on practical cases from educational sites.
In November, a training program inviting 60 Korean UNESCO school teachers selected through public recruitment to Japan will be held in Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture.
