[Financial News] Korea Racing Authority announced on the 13th that it has hired 51 experiential youth interns for 2025 and held an appointment ceremony.
This recruitment was conducted in a blind manner, excluding discriminatory factors such as academic background, age, and gender, and a total of 51 people (27 in office/technical support, 10 in horse industry specialization, 14 in illegal crackdown) were selected through document and interview screenings.
Starting with the appointment ceremony, the interns will be assigned to each department and begin practical work to enhance their job skills and business understanding. The office/technical support field will assist with administrative tasks such as data research and on-site guidance activities for soundness campaigns, while the horse industry field will be responsible for operating equestrian competitions and various horse industry-related events. The illegal crackdown field will perform online illegal horse racing monitoring, a job suitable for people with disabilities, based on consulting from the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled in 2022.
To strengthen employment capabilities, a customized support system has been prepared, including a constant online learning platform, employment support leave available in 30-minute increments, a mentoring program with department seniors, and meetings with new employees.
Additionally, those who complete the internship and outstanding interns will be given preferential points in the new employee recruitment process.
Choo Wan-ho, Head of Management and Administration at Korea Racing Authority, said, “This year, we have significantly expanded the scale of intern recruitment compared to the previous year to create youth jobs and enhance practical skills,” and added, “We will actively support them to have a fruitful and meaningful time by collaborating with seniors and colleagues in each department during the six-month period.”
